Tandem Vault, 3am

I used to work as a "graveyard hourly" in the 1990s, from midnight to 8am, doing odd jobs and sitting around talking with the grad student whose experiment it was and trying to stay awake during nuclear physics experiments, at the Tandem accelerator vault underneath the grass between Sterling and Birge Halls University of Wisconsin - Madison.
