these pictures are from 1965 to 1969, when i was 15 to 20 years old.
except the four from europe, which are of real things, i don't know what the line drawings will be
until they are done. i just watch my hand drawing them. the same is true for the smeary abstract
oil pastel pictures. i was very much influenced by the work of george herriman and peter max,
and i also really liked cartoons by james thurber and edward lear.
